Title: Oil in the coolant
Post by: driver115 on 31 July 2008, 13:46:15
My 2.6 auto has an oil emulsion in the coolant tank, but there does not appear to be any emulsion under the engine oil filler cap, nor in the engine oil - temp guage goes up from usual 80 to 90-95 now

The HBreather Valve was changed last year, and I have not noticed any increase or loss of coolant when i check it.

Could anybody assist with possible reasons

Thanks

Are we talking oily residue or thick mayo type oil in the header tank?

Sounds from early description that it may be oil cooler failure related....but depends on what you define as "oil" in header tank.

More info on the header tank would help  :y
