Hello all. I have a vauxhall omega elite, year 2000 with factory bose sound system. My question: How do I remove the rear shelf speakers? I want to ship the car abroad , but they tend to steal streos and speakers in transit and wanted to remove them prior to shipping. I can remove the stereo, but can't seem to find a way of removing the back speakers. I will leave the amp in place. Please help

I think you will find that you have to remove the whole rear shelf with blind just to get them out. Might be worth just taking the grilles out (as you can do that from the top) and then put some black card in under the shelt but on top of the speaker so that they will see a hole but no speaker. Where are you sending the car :)

Are you going with.

Yes, but I will fly before the car gets there. It takes about 3 weeks.

To remove shelf speakers and bose amp, it is necessary to remove rear shelf, which is fiddly, worse if it has a rear blind...

Thanks mate. I think I will just leave them.
