Many thanks to all who responded to my last problem. Fixed and not too expensive. For the last 2 years my Omega ocassionally drops out of gear at about 10mph, when i am just feathering the throttle. Engine and gearbox under normal throttle i.e being pushed is no problem. Pottering about in traffic at low speed and it will simply drop. Applying throttle will send the revs back up again, 2 - 3000 rpm and the gear will engage and away we go again. It has not been a regular thing because i do so much motorway driving but town driving sets it off again. Any ideas?

first place to start is oil level, service every 60 k.
Or a top up if its not due. Worth a search its been well covered
On here. Guide in maintenance section for top up.
Use Dextron 3 only.

Top up done thanks. Someone suggested last year that an ECU controling the 'box was at fault but said no more about location or cost.

service?
Next place to look is switch and linkage on pass side of
box and inspect the snow switch.
Does changing the gears to 1,2or3 work ok/have any effect?

1,2 and 3 work fine if used. Must get the box serviced as i am up o 126,000 miles in my 2001 car. LPG is so cheap you just have to drive it. Seriously, i have no choice but to do high mileage. 'Box sometimes has a dicky fit at 45-50 mph maybe once a month when it searches for top gear switching up and down. Full throttle to 60 mph and no problem, will run all day long. Grateful of the suggestions, will investigate.
