i have a 2003 Elite 3.2 and ive found oil; leaking from the front of the engine on the left side of the crankshaft pulley not a lot but i can wipe it of with kitchen roll but next day its there again could this be crankshaft oil seal please tell me not (sigh) but i bet it is is there anything else around there that could leak

possible from crank seal, if its anywhere higher up, you should see signs of where from. Cam covers can drip that way...

have a look at cam covers THE most common cause of oil leaks on the omega. If the breathers have not been cleaned for 10 to 12 months and the oil not changed for a while it could well blow the cam seal. If its not that, and not the sump, only really leaves crank pulley seal. Worth a search, have seen mention of all on here, crank real is rare tho imho.

someone on this forum said in the past that the oil pressure sensor is likely to leak, and that is located just above the sump in the front of engine, on left side looking from front. I also have a minor leak and I think its the sensor that is leaking because on the other side the block is dry. Worth a look IMHO.
