OEM item at £30
Aftermarket one at £13
Vauxhall Parts Warehouse
Any recommendation on either? Cost is no issue, just wondered if anyone's had any experience... or if one is significantly better than the other...

Tis a valid point - although, one would hope that ANY make of steering component is manufactured to a safe standard ::) ;D

Witout a doubt they are,but for the price of the gen parts it is not worth it and no doubt you have a trade card, and also you have a parts warrenty that goes with them as well. if they fail then you take the car to your local dealer and they replace foc inc labour. provided you have the bill to show them. :y

Take a look at this thread James.http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1215904336/9#9 Good review by Marks DTM. If you want Vx quality without paying Vx prices buy Lemforder wishbones and idler. OEM apparently, available form Autovaux.

James.
For what it's worth my £30 steering arm as recommended by MarksDTM looked OK but as it's only been on the car for a fortnight or so I can't say it's been fully tested. It passed an MOT test! ;D
Not too hard to change if it does fail though. The hard bit is swinging the 2lb universal spanner in the limited space, to 'encourage' the taper to let go! ::) :y
