After doing head gasket, I'm leaking oil at the back of the engine, dripping down at the back. I'm sure I can also spell on the exhaust.
Not sure it can leak from. I've taken the inlet manifold off and checked all round both cam covers, but can see no leak.
What else could be leaking at the rear?

could be head gasket it self but more likely to be half moons on camcovers matey ! :y

might as well change the cam covers.
how much are they from vaux?

around £70 for both sides and the O rings :y

This will be the rocker cover gasket leaking on the drivers side. Oil leaks onto the exhaust and will smoke. This happens frequently with these models. It is more apparent when you accelerate hard - causing higher oil pressure in the cover cavity. Take your plug leads off and see if the chamber is full of oil. If so you would be advised to get it sorted. The hot oil will cook your plugs and do all sorts of other nasty damage. My mate had this happen - the oil on the exhaust caught fire and did a fair bit of damage. The foam sound proofing under the bonnet catches light all-too-easily. Be aware. (Shit job to do though.)

Did you take the oil feed to the cooler off when removing the head? If so one possibility is a leak from the banjo bolt. Most likely is the cam cover but you will obviously be able to check the banjo bolts when you strip the inlet side off. Would suggest cleaning the breathers out if they have not been done recently if replacing the cam cover gaskets.

My car was P1$$ing oil out the back of the engine and over the gearbox.
As said above - whoever last fitted the oil cooler didn't tighten the banjo bolts enough, and they were leaking oil, not only down the back, but also over the cambelt (which is now all replaced and area cleaned up!)

Headgasket gone again :( I had a leak around radiator bottom hose, and the engine overheated...blew one or both of gaskets - will find out tomorrow. So new head gaskets and bolts - will get genuine cam cover gaskets while I'm at it....not sure whether to do oil cooler or not...
