Hey every one,
Right now my new owned car needs a bettery changed cause every time i want to start it, i have to jump the car up.
my question is: which type of battery suits a 2001 3.0 V6 omega?
some guy told me a should get an 80 battery ( not sure what that means but it sure is expensive )
if any one can help me with which battery number i should be getting, i'd really appreciate it.
one more thing, i'd liek to know if any of u still has teh car manual and tell me what are the standard tire sizes and on which wheels?
cheerioes

The first thing I would do is get a trade card from http://www.autobahnstormers.org/ this will get you big discounts from Vauxhall on your service parts. The card costs £20 a year but you will save this in no time. The tyres will depend on which 3.0 you have MV6 or Elite.

hey pete thanks for ur fast reply!
will buying the card work in saudi arabia? the parts we got here in SA are all Opel/GM oriented.
how do i know if i have an MV6 or Elite? any links in this forum?
one more thing
which type of oil should i consider changing?
-
I dont think the card will work in SA, I think its only Vauxhall UK. Your 3.0 will possibly be called something other the an MV6 or Elite. In the UK the MV6 has 17" wheels were the Elite has 16" wheels and just to confuse things, when the Omega was facelifted all 3.0 and 3.2s had 17" wheels
-
right, i've seen many with 16 and 17 wheels and i'm considering either of them ( probably the 16 cheaper wheels and tires )
but what are the tire sizes for both 16 and 17?
it now has the 15 wheels that require caps and 205/65 tires. is that the standard? i would have checked this my self but al the stickers on the car are not there any more
-
The 205/65/15 tyres are right for the steel wheels, then you go to 225/55/16 and then to 235/45/17.
-
Standard Retail Spec MV6s come with Irmscher Ronal I line wheels they are 235 45 17 W tyres
-
Oh yeah, your tyre pressure should be 30psi front and 33psi rear with up to 3 people or 40psi front and 48psi rear thats fully loaded with 205/65/15 tyres
-
Pete are mv6 tyres 2.2 bar?
-
According to the had book and this is for the mini facelift, they should be 235/45 R 17-93
Up to 3 people
30psi(210kPa) front 33psi(230kPa) rear
Fully loaded
39psi(270kPa) front 45.7psi(320kPa) rear
