To disconect the battery, you must lossen the terminals first but leave connected. Then switch on the ignition so that the dash lights come on. Then switch off the ignition and disconnect the battery within 10secs, this will stop the alarm from sounding ;)
Side light, remove big bung from back of lamp, the sidelight is on its own, twist the holder 90 degrees then withdraw, lamp just pulls out of holder....IIRC :-/

you do if you want to get to the nearside lamp hidden behind the battery (or you've got very small hands) ;)

not true, even if you want more space, battery can be moved without being removed...

you could also angle grind the top front cross member away and then pull the headlight out of the front of the car just to change the bulb...

or train a small monkey to do the job for you...

but maybe i'm being a bit pedantic ::)

I bought a Halfords battery, its smaller with the same output, so you can change the bulbs without removing it ;)

Confirm you dont have to remove battery to change any of the neardide bulbs, including HIDs.  I've not got small hands either!
