Post by: eddys on 02 September 2008, 10:05:17
Hi

Excellent guide as usual with this very informative forum! The only problem i have is i cant see how you get the part marked D off?

Hopefully someones done it before. Since access is so tight.

Cheers

You will find it easier with the plenum removed. If it is held on with a jubilee type spring clip I found long nosed pliers the best solution ,unless you have the fancy clip remover. You may find the pipe is stuck fast on the breather box so will require a bit of twisting from side to side, and when removed you may need to trim the pipe end square again as sometimes it splits abit.Bit of vasoline on it when you put it back makes fit easier,Best of luck.

I wouldn't remove the breather body, I would spray carb cleaner down the holes and clean with a small screw driver for the larger hole and a piece of wire for the smaller hole. After useing carb cleaner down in the breather body, its best to change the engine oil and filter ;)

A pic of the breather body with the hoses removed.
