Or alternatively tune to Radio 2 (just an example) or any other station which broadcasts the RDS time signal and it should reset itself after a few minutes :y :y :y :y :y :y
-
^ wot he said, or if genuine radio still, just tune to a radio station that broadcasts rds (any bbc, plus many others) and it will automatically set

assuming you havent knocked the sensor / wiring in your exploits, sounds like a new one may be needed. It will also prevent climate control working properly.
-
done nothing apart from diconet the wires to take the battery out to be tested
-
u say that it will reset its self if i put it on radio 2 for a few mins will it work if i have an after market radio unit

Unfortunately, I doubt it... It will however set the correct time on the head unit itself :D :D :D :D
You will have to use this method then...
press and hold the clock button above the mid, until the time starts flashing, use the . button next to the clock to advance it, press the clock once to move on to the next setting.

Bit of clarification needed here.....
preminifacelift - manual setting using buttons above display only
minifacelift - manual (using buttons above display), or auto via RDS
facelift without GPS - as minifacelift
facelift with GPS - manual via stereo - BC > Settings > Time Date, or select auto in that same menu (updates from GPS signal)
