Title: my omega 2ltr cd engine
Post by: Shane mvsex on 30 August 2008, 15:35:07
iv not had my car long its cost me a small fortune to get it runnig and bak on the road.esp as i was ripped off by some dodgy garage.. but i love it low miles and very tidy..
but i have probz. starting it up the revs kind of have a mind of there own goes up n down a few times then settles.. also wen its running seems to be sloppy and sounds rough slight tapping aswell... really annoying as id like it runnig smooth as i want to spend some money on this car.. grr iv had loads done exhaust manifold but still has 2 snapped bolts.. lambercentre.. crankshaft censor and centre? new brakes that make more noise than before hand brake released.head unit speakers and new front grill .not only that ! tyres tax mot  :-[  but hey il get there in the end... iv not got much experience with cars so any ideas hints and tips would be a great help thanx :y

Assuming you're talking about the small breather hose that connects
to your cam cover, it will have just stuck it itself together.

Don't try just pulling it off, it will probably break.
Assuming you've removed the securing clip ok, put some pressure
on the end off the hose using either a broad bladed screwdriver
or a hammer shaft in the direction you wish it travel. Grasp the hose
with your pliers around where it fits on the short pipe, where it
exits the cam cover, and wiggle the hose whilst keeping the 'pushing'
pressure on the end of the hose with the screwdriver or hammer shaft.

Eventually, the 'stiction' will break and off she'll come.
Have patience, and good luck.  :)
