Just a quick one... After changing the heater matrix, the climate control shows "--" for about 3 seconds on each temperature indicator when the ignition is switched off?
Everything seems to function OK and I've tried the reset (ign on whilst holding off and auto for 5 secs)
Can someone help please?

Stored fault code. Need a code reader to find what...
-
Thanks mate.
Will the fault code clear itself over a period of time? Think this is where I've ran the car up with several of the servo's disconnected when I was testing the matrix??
I've got an "My Naff Code Reader" but it has problems when trying to communicate with the ECC ECU :(
-
I think they need clearing to be honest...
-
I had an similar issue with mine 5 weeks ago.
Last week i noticed that those -- do not appear anymore...

I've got the "My Naff Code Reader" too and it's excellent for everything except the bloody climate control which is the only bit of the car that has a fault code :'(
Does yours connect then disconnect straight away?

Hi mate, yep the "My Naff Code Reader" is awesome for everything else and yes, it connects then disconnects on the climate control, does my head in!!
I think its a software problem but the latest version is not, erm available if you know what I mean :(

Thats what happens when you buy from egay - you'll get an illegal, pirated version of the software.

Tell me about it, I contacted AutoM3 after I bought this and they told me it was a pirated version!! :-[
In perspective though, what other options are there for the home enthusiast?
You have the vaux-com that sits just over £400 and then theres the Autoscanner Opel (http://www.ukobd.co.uk/gstore/store/g_viewItem.asp?idProduct=82) which is cheaper and probably better. You then get in the realms of the >£1000 tools which is a bit much for the home user. Tech 2's are selling brand new for £2500 and add £250 for the advanced version which comes with the CanDI stuff!
Guess its a view on cost/benefit... Spend £350 and how much is a diagnostic with Vx, £50?
Thats 7 diagnostics before it pays for itself...

Just want to confirm that the ECC will clear its own fault codes after a number of successful operations!!
Great, ECC all sorted now!

Had the same fault code registering on mine about 4 weeks ago after I replaced the climate illumination bulbs.I was advised that it required a Tech 2 to remove the stored codes and clear the error, despite the system working correctly.Mine cleard by its own accord about a week ago,so can concure that will clear in time.
