Title: help?? closing windows with keyfob from outside??

hi, all of a sudden i cannot close the windows from outside the car by holding down the close button on the key fob. it worked yesterday ( i had it into vauxhall yesterday for a new alarm sounder and new key fob). the locking/ unlocking still works with the key fob though?? does anyone have any ideas please, its a Y reg 2001 omega 2.5 V6 cdx

if they have disconnected the battery and the sun roof(should auto close as well) and one touch windows have not been reset that may explain it, "may".
 From fully closed, fully open then fully close and hold the button for 5 seconds or so. Should reset.

Hi

it sounds as if the system just need reseting all you have to do is open the windows fully from the inside and keep pressing until you hear a click and the same fully closed.This should resest it .

thanks i'll try it in the morning, but it did work after i had got it back from the dealers yesterday so i hope its just something this simple.

ive just got a omega cdx 2.5 v6 1994 and ive tried the complete closure from the key fob and the only thing that closes is the sun roof ill try that with opening all the windows and keep pressing it and let you know how i get on

thanks, it worked this morning but when i tried it after work it didnt work?? also not sure if the alarm is working properly- may have to take it back to vauxhall. anyone know how to test the alarm ( without putting a brick through my window haha)

Open the door with the key, lock yourself in the car with the bliper and move around. Disconnect the battery a minute or so AFTER the ignition has been turned off. Leave the windows open and lock the car and stick a hand in or wait for the wind to blow. Lift the bonnet while locked usual stuff.
