Anybody got an interesting soloution to removing windscreen wipers?
I've got the drivers one off but the passenger side will not budge, I've dowsed it in WD40 for luck and have been standing on the engine pulling with a pliers and it won't move.... (Its actually kinda funny watching me fighting with a bloody window wiper :D )
Any Ideas?

plus gas :y
Try running the wipers on full whack with the nuts off too!

Try holding the wiper arm just by the hindge and rock it towards the windscreen ,you should find that it comes off then

You can buy a specific wiper arm puller but IME they're a load of sh1te. Mine bent the 2 feet the first time tried to use it - can't remember make now, but it wasn't a cheap cr4ppy one.
Gentle rocking of the arm, while trying to lift the rounded end of the arm up with, perhaps, a small ajustable spanner. Done force it though .... you'l break something! ;)
When you're putting them back on, use a little grease & don't swing off the spanner while tightening the nuts back up.

wiggle it like mad, fold it up, and just keep pulling and wiggling at the same time, try a screw driver underneath for some leverage too. Had problems when i replace mother tunnies wiper blades.

YES!!!!!
Take that window wiper ;D
Got it off, combination of wiggling and pulling lime mad with an adjustable pliers.
I now have footprints on my engine though :D
Thanks all.

The bonnet was up? :-/
I take the nut off, lower the bonnet, and then pop the wiper off.
Lot easier with the bonnet down! ;)

I wiggle it around the hinge part. Always seems to work for me

When my car was at the VX "Stealers" a couple of years back having the power sounder replaced they managed to break the windscreen, I bet this is how they did it.
Just found out today that all the clips that should be under the screen rubber to hold the scutlle on are missing.

I reckon that Autoglass must have thousands of these .. can't prove it but I'm certain all mine disappeared when the screen was replaced .. :(
Guys on here got me a handful .. just ask in Parts Wanted :)

I use a small ball joint splitter and a spacer .
The splitter is the type that pushes onto the ball joint and bolt then presses down onto the top of the threaded part.
I slip this under the wiper arm and then use a spaces so that it pushes down on the spindle.
Works every time for me
