Hi,
The hole that the anti-rattle Pin goes into has enlarged so that the pin won't hold when turned. I made up a washer to put behind the back plate but the pin on full compression of the spring isn't long enough to go through it.
Can i cut a coil off the spring without any problems to allow it to reach?
Thanks,
Pete.

You should be able to use a normal pin retaining washer which must other manufacturers use anyway, and the pin should reach it just fine.
Thats how i repair this type all the time ;)

Thanks for that dazzler i'll give it a go if i can get a washer but from what i could see there's not a lot of pin showing even on full compression :(.

If it went through the back plate in the first place....which it does. Then flatten out any jagged metal and hold the washer behind and fit, the washer is only about 1/64th"

Thanks dazzler, will give it a try :y.

I had the same problem with mine Pete, I had to bash the back of backplate a bit to allow enough space for the washer, but it has held up alot better than I thought.
