Title: Central Locking Soleniod
Post by: Richard A on 21 September 2008, 17:04:29
After playing up for a few weeks, took the front passenger door cover of today to investigate, the plastic membrane was cut so someone had been there before, anyway I used loads of WD40 which has worked in the past, but not this time, the soleniod is now dead, I have killed it, not even a twitch. So if anyone has one I can buy thanks, plus do you have to take the 'door lock' right out to change the unit ?
P.S. I have posted on the wanted page.

There are two prt numbers
"Solenoid Part Numbers: Pre mini-facelift: 90449074
Post mini-facelift: 90493702

Price approx. £35-£40 + VAT from Vauxhall"

Mines the 90493702 as took it out already  on my 99 2.0Ltr CD Saloon

I reckon so. I took the whole thing out a few months back as mine was really difficult to open the door and I don't think you'd be able to get to the motor fasteners otherwise.
