Hi all
Does anyone know where i can get the wiring diagram that shows the sensors on the front and rear suspension that are used to detect how the car is sitting and used to level the headlights.
One of mine is faulty and id like to know how its electrically connected to see if there is anyway i can bypass it.
I do have the Vauxhall CD but it seem pretty useless.

Is it not in the back of Haynes?
-
I have a 2001 2.6CDX and the Haines is for the older model.
I suppose its probably all the same underneath.
Did the older model have the same headlight system.

yes.

Vauxhall didn't go to the expense and effort to fit it for nothing, so I'm guessing that bypassing ain't a great idea, esp as you can get a second hand one cheap enough from members here ;)

from memory, I think front and rear are same, hopefully someone can confirm...

Dealer told me they are the same last time I got one. Mine was for the front and it got knackered due to wishbone bushes been worn and the arm jiggling about all over.
Think the sensor cost about £35 iirc.

Sensors are the same, just the brackets are different.

well well, 7 posts in and nobody has gone in to the legalitys of zenon head lights having to have a leveling and washing system by law, and it probably wont pass an mot and you should tell your insurance company if its not fitted... well well, i wont mention that then, no, might be labelled a moaning mini.
But i will mention its probably easier to fix it than by pass it. Had the level warning on mine, the ball joint was warn and the rose joints on the connecting arm where buggerd. 45 sobs for the arm and sensor iirc. Might be worth cleaning and re greaseing the ball joint and pushing it firmly back in but chances are it needs a new one. Hth.

Oh dear - im glad nobody told my local garage that as its just passed the MOT.
I will fix it if i decide to hang on to the car.
I do love it and hopefully it will go forever.
Ive just stuck a post on the newcomer section with a few questions so give me your thoughts if you have a minute.
