Title: HID bulb sometimes starts second time...

Been explained as cheapo bulb...always seems to work but fails to start first time sometimes...

My thought is its a failing dispack, wondered if the cheapo bulb theory held any water?  ;)

doubt it would be that mate lol might be ballast or more than possible just a dodgy bulb cheap ones are renound for failing or even burning out the connector

Swap it over to the other side, that will confirm ballast unit or bulb..

I have spare bulbs and spare ballast packs so will swap one then the other...sounds like a plan, thanks :)
