In the process of sorting out a missfire I decided to clean the crankcase breathers. Found the larger pipe to be relatively clear, but the small (orifice?) about 2 mil across was blocked solid.
I have cleaned it out using a small drill bit.
Just wondering what the hell such a tiny hole was used for and what Plank put such a tiny hole in such a vulnerable place? What are the expected consequences of that hole being blocked?

On the breather box at back of drivers side head? If so, should just have a pinhole in it :)

It needs to be a pin hole to restrict the flow into the inlet at idle :y
