Title: thermostat on 2.5

my thermostat has gone. so befor i pull it apart. ive been told the stat comes with the housing as one unit. and non genuine want £35. but just rang another place and they say 12.99.which if it does come with a housing is too cheap and the wrong one..i could do with it being the correct part befor i start.
 do i need the housing as well?? thanks

I always egt the one with the housing as its possible for the stat seat to wear and its about the only way to guarantee the correct seal is supplied!
