Title: Total closure query...
Post by: Welung666 on 29 September 2008, 08:10:02
If I lock the car with the fob or lock and deadlock with the fob should the total closure shut the windows/sunroof? Or is it just off the key? I've not tried it with the key but I know it doesn't with the fob  >:(

Thanks folks.

Lee.

you are holding the key in lock position?  Deadlocking alone wont shut everything...
works off the key or holding down the lock button on the key for me.

Providing your windows have been reset ie will open or close on their own, you press & hold the 'close' button on the fob. The same can be done by holding the key at 45 degrees in the driver's door lock.

Willyboy know all about this .....  ;)  ;)  ;)

Yup, to confirm, holding lock button on fob, or holding key in lock position, will total close - as long as windows and roof been properly reset

Thats the way it is - remember, its not a new system ;)

Same as you have to hold the memory button on the leccy seats etc.

You can get aftermarket kits that 'hold the switch' for a few seconds in the lock position when you deadlock, which has same effect.
