Post by: humbucker on 05 October 2008, 12:44:59
the boot spoiler on the elite is stuck down with some super strong adhesive tape if i'm thinking right, as opposed to bolts... anyone know what the best adhesive tape to use is if sticking one on?

Most accesory shops will sell it, there are 2 screws also, one either end of the spoiler

3m are a pretty renowned brand go for that as a safe bet. Also make sure both surfaces are clean and dry, and fit when it is warm as the tape is far less likely to take to a cold panel.

My mate used to work in aircraft fitting. Galleys mostly. He had some 3M tape they used to stick panels together with. It was seriously sticky stuff.

Bit discocerting to find out that bits of planes are stuck together with it though.  :o
