Title: Cleaning Crankcase breather system
Post by: DaveyDavey on 06 October 2008, 10:22:21
Morning all  :)

Just printed off the "how-to" for cleaning the crankcase breathers and had a couple of quick questions.

(1) Can the breather system be cleaned with the Plenum remaining on the car?
(2) Any suggestions for the name of a good cleaning product to use on it? (I'm searching through halfords website trying to find something suitable)

Thanks in advance   :y

Carb cleaner....think Halfords do Wynns.

With the plenum in place its much harder but, remove the throttle off the front and remove the breather bridge plus the pipes at the back, easier with the scuttle cover off.

Is that the black thing on top of the plenum?

Now I know for next time.

Before asking that question I had a quick flick through the "how-to" text and it kept referring to "breather box" Then as soon as I posted the message I noticed the label "Breather Bridge frm below"  on the pic. Oh well  ::)
