Sorry Tintin. Local, but I am a bit too busy getting mine up to scratch for the MOT this month.
All I can say is that the start of the job is in a how-to here:

What makes you think it's bearings? Could it be the diff has dumped it's oil and has got noisy? Wheel bearings usually rumble - diffs whine.

Local is an understatement, your practically on my doorstep ;D Ownly going by word of mouth on the wheel bearing at present as i've not picked the car up yet so have not had the opertunity to listen for myself. A good run back from Cardiff should show me any issues that need rectifying. I've a good six months to sort everything out before running it around Europe so should you get five mins :y

I might be persuaded to loan a hand depending on when you are doing it :)

I must warn though - I'm not a mechanic - I just hit stuff til it works again :D

Hi tintin i'm also in southampton and will try to help if poss but i will warn you they are a pain in the backside to do.  But i do have access to a workshop and tools(if the boss lets me use it).  If you can get the arm off it will be a lot easier to change as you can put it in a press      on the car is very difficult. Let me know nearer the time and i'll see what i can do.
