Hi,
I have just bought an Omega with 117,000 miles in it, the previous owner had no details of when the cam belt was replaced and from the mileage is prob due anyway at 120,000.
Can anyone advise the best place to buy the kit from and Approx costs, I have seen several on ebay fro around £70, is this a good price?
There is a kit on Ebay for a 3.0 litre Elite, would this suit my 2.5 litre V6?
Cheers
Tony

The kist vary with engine number, but its only the backplate (ignoring the 2.6/3.2 kits).
Contitech seem to be highly regarded for price. And GM ones are coming through with markings on again!
You will also need v6 locking/timing kit (whatever you have been told, it is not possible without!). The Cambelt DVD from OOF shop is £3 well spent as well ;)

These Ebay items are full Gates kits and typically go for less than £50…
