Title: boot liners for an Estate - any recommendations?
Post by: wakeyomega on 10 October 2008, 19:44:42
Hi All
Am looking at getting a boot liner for my estate. I want something that will protect the sides and back as well as the floor of the estate boot, but not necessarily a rigid hard polyprene one, I'd prefer a simple plastic sheet based one, that can be folded away when not used. I've googled  few but wondered if there were any recommendations from the group based on experience?

Thanks Pat

i got a small tar paulin sheet from the £1 shop, covers the back nicely & saved my carpet from the crud off the ar35`s i was humping about, & it folds up enough to squeeze into one of  the side pockets.

I've got 2 off ebay - eternalcar

1 with non slip, 1 without

only downside is they are designed to fit an omega without a cd changer, so pair of scissors required

I 've got the rubber tray type fitted in mine, it was already in the estate when I bought it. Plenty of them on ebay which look the same.
Only trouble with this type thing tends to slide around the boot, so I cover it with a used quilt cover tucked underneath it at the edges.
Must say it keeps the boot floor like new, well mine looks good after 8 years.

Both our carpets already bit tatty, but this is to keep wet buggies etc off the car.  Highly recommend them

Not like those cannon rubber mats, which are heavy, and get condensation underneath :(

Thanks for all the replies. Found exactly what I was looking for in Charlie Browns. "Sakura heavy duty boot liner" for estate cars. Protects the sides and back and also has a tailgate flap.
