subject sort of says it all. i'm just wondering if it's only the mv6 with the sports seats and also do they go straight onto the wiring for the non-memory seats?
thanks
-
Should go stright in, the sports seats dont have the memory switches so there should be no problems with the wires
-
ok good good, might be after some instead of elite leather :P
apparently they were in the "2.2 sport"
dont ask i looked on parkers
-
What about putting them into a car that does have memory seats? I appreciate that you'd lose the memory, but are the MV6 (facelift) seats all electric in the same way as the Elite seats just without the memory?
Can they slot in, give you all the electical adjustability, just with the loss of memory function?
-
you can just plonk them in and you just lose the memory functions, they might need to change the seatbelt tensioner i think it is as they're narrower i think on the mv6
-
Cool. thanks.
Are they full electric though and on both sides? (i.e. driver and passenger)
-
should be elecy both sides/wether thats just height adjustment like on the cd i dont know
-
my is 99 mini facelift and is not full electrics only height adjustment
-

MV6 is a sports version of the Preface lift CDX and Facelift CD I think off the top of my head, though many got spec'd up when new so to speak

MV6 isn't top spec, mini facelift is based on CDX, facelift based on CD
Edit....... Quicker fingers needed ;D

but still... no full lecy seats = gay

No pleasing some people ::)
If it had all the stuff on an Elite there would be no point making an Elite :D
-
lol i wouldnt want alot of the stuff off the elite in the mv6, just that id want traction control as my 2.0 which is now 2.5 doesnt have it and maybe full elecy seats from alot higher model than my cd (i dont even get rear heated seats)
*edit:
maybe they should have left out ac from the mv6(im not sure tbh but i thought it had ac) and maybe... lightweight bonnet? plastic body panels to save weight and more rustproof :P
-
i think mv6 is actually based on the elite the whole wiring loom is the same as an elites seats arent electric on f/l or mini f/l
mv6 has rear heated seat looms and rear blind wiring and various other things

Most Omega if not all will have the full wiring loom in place from the factory

Eh?
I just checked gay in my dictionary and I couldnt find manual or electric seats mentioned anywhere?
Are you sure you mean gay?
::)

The full electric seast loom is only fitted to cars with fully electric seats.
Elites came with a Sports seat option, but taking this removes the fully electricmemory seats, and the autodip mirror

Cheers TB. I understand you'd lose the memory, but would you retain the electric up/down, forward/backward and tilt switches rather than have to go manual on these?

You lose everything - they are std MV6 seats.
