Der... Serek (a member) changed mine last weekend cos the stitching had gone and I managed to get another off the forum. There was a bit of sweat and a thump to move it other than that OK. PM serek he'll tell ya. I'm in P'Boro and he's in Huntingdon.
 Good luck  :y

cool......but is the steering wheel on a spline ??? - ta

believe its on a spline, the best way to get it off & the easiest is to remove airbag [disconnect battery first & leave for a while], undo nut almost to the top then with a punch & hammer hit the top of the shaft downwards fairly hard & the wheel should just pop up, take nut off completely & remove wheel.

				cheers tim  :y :y :y

DON'T HIT THE SHAFT! You'll bugger up the collapable bit of the column. Vauxhall steering wheels usually need a specific puller like .... clicky (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LASER-GM-STEERING-WHEEL-PULLER-VAUXHALL-OPEL-low-P-P_W0QQitemZ310090719837QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item310090719837&_trkparms=72%3A1350%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)

andy b, this is how vx told me to do it ages ago, i know its not a recommendation coming from vx but has always been fine for me, you would have to hit it with a sledge hammer for it to colapse the column, but i will agree a puller would be better if its available :y

..... you would have to hit it with a sledge hammer for it to colapse the column ......
Would you?  :-/ I haven't looked specifically at mine, but some are only nylon 'pegs', easily sheared with something a bit smaller than a sledge hammer.  :y
I bent the wheel slightly on my Manta B trying to remove it. It came off a piece of cake with the puller i then made.
-
you just need a gorlla like pull on the hweel after undoing the nut!!!
mine came off reasonably easily doing it this way!!!1 :y

im only going on what vx told me to do honestly andy!, are these the same as senators where the outer part collapses?

i know andy, when they told me it frightened me, but they said that as long as you are only hitting the inner section there shouldnt be a problem, & ive done this on the old royales [known for column movement due to 3 torx bolts in column working loose!] & untold other vx`s with the same seup & its been fine, perhaps ive been lucky for once :D, anyhow perhaps omegablacks will come off with a tug & thatll settle it :y
