Title: DASH DISPLAY PART NOS.
Post by: Seth on 19 October 2008, 20:21:45
My dash display is badly pixellated, and I'm looking to replace the unit.

The car is a 1998 2.5TD GLS Estate.
The part number is 90 565 957 and has a YELLOW connector.

I can get hold of a replacement with a yellow connector, but with part no 90 379 234.
Will the latter be compatible with my failing original?
Can anyone confirm, before I delve further?

Can't confirm whether that will fit but have a look here for a replacement of your original part........

I know such things aren't really in Sethsmate's capabilities, after chatting about soldering etc at Newent with him.

Cheers Jamie,
Yep, electronics really ain't my 'thing' ..... more of a 'nuts & bolts' chap really!
Regarding my re-chip at Newent: MOT passed last week, even with some black smoke. As the tester said, the smokeometer doesn't lie.
Still, the tractor's now in fine fettle, and Mrs Sethsmate's also happy.

Good news about MOT :y

Mine sails through with chip in it.  Though I tend to put decent fuel in for a couple of tanks before MOT ::)

Not my thing either, mentioned as my GLS disply is pixelated and some kind person might spring forward on the forum and say I can repair them, no probs. :)

Funny enough, I thought it might have been something Martin was into as well as the keyfobs.

Same as me Jamie lad,
Filled the fuel filter with Forte the day before the test. I also try to avoid supermarket-type diesel too.
Right - enough of this, what about my dash display unit .... ?

I would imagine if it has the same plug, it would work. But don't know for definate.

There is no real config issues for TIDs.
