Have to top up about every month. No obvious puddles around so cant see where it's going.
Now that winter is here am suffering from bad internal misting. When I drove a Senator (sadly missed) I had read that a heater matrix leak could be the cause as there was a known fault with the inlet pipe sealing O rings.
Could this be the same problem? :-/

Sounds like HBV back of engine just below plenum :)

Hi,
Omegas tend to loose coolant from specific places..
Most common is HBV as mentioned above..
Others are oil cooler area, thermostat, heater matrix..
oil cooler and thermostat is easy to check ..its only a plenum out job..
and I estimate you can see some traces of coolant on this area..
but for heater matrix its a hard job.. (but shortcuts available)

What's the pollen filter like? It could be that it's in real need of replacement & you're not getting the airflow through it. It lives passenger side of the car right at the back. The area inderneath it could also be blocked with leaves, so you've a load of water down there - could also be your misting problem.
As with a Senator you really don't want to have to change a heater matrix - the car was built around it! ::) :y

i was filling mine once a week so much more than yours and still no signs of leaks apart from a drip from hbv maybe leaks more when driveing. anyway fitted new no more problem hope this helps Tony

check first...ac is working, on, eco not selected. scuttle drain not blocked. polen filter clear, exhaust in right side cubby hole in boot not blocked. carpets not wet in front or rear footwells. hopefully one of those will sort the misting.
Leak, hbv first, see if its wet anywhere, or just replace.
suggest try that lot and see how you go...
if not, consider leak in the v of the engine,
oil cooler cover plate, stat housing, ccolant bridge.or
coolant transfer pipe at back of engine above bell housing, or coor plugs in cylinder head.
none of the above are massively expensive unless you need ac condensor. all except ac can be done diy. if none of that helps then would consider heater matrix. or bars stop leak... :y

DON'T LET THIS PROBLEM GO. A very slow leak for me, from a pipe connected to the HBV, cost me over £400 for the damage it caused.

Now there's a point. Exhaust in boot. When I have the blower on the pressure in the cabin makes my ears pop. Have to tilt the roof or crack the window open to relieve the pressure. Even affects the speakers moving the air.
On the right side of the boot are two small compartments, tools and first aid kit but have not seen a vent? :(

It's in behind the right hand (drivers side) cubbyhole in the boot..... often blocked by a high-vis jacket, tow rope etc etc etc, empty it out and give the area a good vacuuming ... :)

first aid box, where you access the rear light cluster to change a bulb. In there at the bottom. Facing the side of the car. 2 plastic grills with one way flapper valves on the other side.
