Title: Hit a pheasant
Post by: RichB on 25 October 2008, 21:33:02
I was driving home earlier and hit a pheasant at about 70mph, when I got home I checked for damage and my front passenger side foglight is smashed!  So now I am fed up ad I now need a new foglight, my coolant keeps going down and I think my rocker gaskets might be leaking again :(

Any ideas how much I am looking at for a replacement foglight?  And is it easy to change?

Cheers,

Richard

You're not allowed to, it's against the law, but the person behind you can, as daft as it sounds

Last time I hit one it came home with me by default. The brake disc had plucked it (well, one side) and almost cooked it too. :y

Bet Mrs Kevin Wood was a happy bunny when you dumped that on the kitchen table.

I would have played games and put it in a Tesco bag, and said it was on offer  ::)

A friend of mine in Basingstoke has 2 Buzzards which were injured & cannot fly, in a cage in her back garden & goes out collecting roadkill to feed them on. She has a supply of Tesco bags in her car that she refers to as 'Bodybags' ;)

It was over quickly. Never found its' head. I suspect its' body went below the top wishbone and its' head above. :'(

I remember the occassion of her wedding anniversary party a few years ago when a deer had been hastily butchered at the roadside, bundled into the back of her car, roasted & served up cold in the buffet & in pies. Yes she keeps a suitable knife in the car just in case!
There's a deer on the A340 this morning, a few years ago one hit my neighbours Volvo on the same road & wrote the car off

Picture was minus the bones that didnt go through the bulb holder.  Not nice under the bonnet.

Ooh. :-/ Could have been the same one thinking about it. It was somewhere between Mortimer West End and Four Marks. My brother hit one by the Vines a couple of years ago. :'( Made a bit of a dent in his Renault Migraine Coupe. ;D
