Hi
I am probably the odd one out on this subject, at the grand old age of 42 I am still going to concerts regularly. Saw "Bowling for Soup" in Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago, an soon off to see "Dropkick Murphy's". Seen "Rancid" for 2 years running.
I am not offended if no one has ever heard of these bands but I think they are mega!!!

I would not suggest you go searching for them if you are easily offended(bit of swearing).
Or you could just ask the average young person they should have at least heard of them.

All the best

Mike

TBH it's easier to say that there's not too much that I don't like wether it's old or new but I am particularly into really good funky house and good chillout type of stuff at the moment. :y

I've got a couple of Van Morrison albums Maria - good stuff. :y

Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine. Didn't they get the name from Carter Brandon from the eighties sitcom 'I Didn't Know You Cared'?

I used to love that show with Uncle Mort and Carter Brandon.  ;D ;D

Bands I like

Older
Deep Purple
Black Sabbath
Rainbow (RJD)
Original Whitesnake
Gillan
Thin Lizzy
UFO

US
Van Halen
DLRs band

And a few I can't remember off the top of my head

EU
Scorpions
Accept

Other
ACDC

UK
Gary Moore
Early Ozzy

NWOBHM
Def Leppard
Saxon
Iron Maiden
Quite a few bands you have never heard of but I have seen and bought records by.*

Not a fan of
Thrash
Led Zeppelin

* Only a small fraction got a big deal, I reckon that I have come across 4 or 5 who could have managed a multiple album record deal, more woryingly I knew 2 very well, went to primary school with a good guitarist, and have the only known video material of one band playing live.
