Title: 2.5 cam cvr gskts

hi, whilst tickering today found the rh bank plug leads smeared in oil at base of plug, thick question but do i have the joyous job of having to renew the cam cvr gaskets and how long should job take roughly ?

Highly possible, there will be a fairly comprehensive guide in the "Maintenance Section".

read the guide look at the bits & pieces, then ask questions and you will probably get through it unscathed  ::)

Hi there,
Omega rocker gasket leak is common.....and it leaks then into plug wells as I know too well.
It isnt an easy job but can be done successfully, but do get good quality gaskets not halfords jobs.
Go for dealer gaskets or at least Autovaux in wakefield for them as you will regret it if not as i found myself having to do them again in 2 months time.
Remember to take off the windscreen wiper scuttle to make the job easier.....and have patience as the stripdown takes a while.

thanks for the replies will take job in hand nxt weekend. should've checked when the weather was a tad warmer :(
