Title: Climate Control
Post by: V8 RUMBLE on 30 October 2008, 17:54:33
Hi
I own a P reg 2.5 td and at the moment do not have very much climate at all. My car will only blow cold air on the screen but nowhere else. Some heat (not very much) drifts out of the driver's side vent in line with the steering wheel. I have tried to re set it by holding the buttons advised in the Haynes manual but still nothing. Where would be the best place to start to look. Thanks in advance for any help.
Tim :)

Hello fellow tractor owner ;D

When you switch off ign, do you get -- in the climate display for about a second?

Hi
Sorry for the delay the local Wetherspoons had curry and a pint for a fiver last night. Yes I do get that when I turn the ignition off. ;)

Fault stored in climate system then.  Ideally, get the climate ecu read, and see what it thinks is wrong, then you can tackle the problem (which invaraibly means taking part of dash out)

Thanks for that. Can my local garage read the ecu or is this a dealer only type thing?
