Title: Any Guitar Players Out There?
Post by: Golfbuddy on 05 November 2007, 23:32:17
Well, are there/ I have a question.

If I'm playing a simple 12 bar blues. e.g. G7, C9, D9 etc, and I want to solo over this. Do I change from the G blues scale to the C scale and then to the D scale on each chord change? Or, can I play the in the same scale in each chord? If you see what I mean.

If I'd visited 12 bars in one night I wouldn't be blue... pissed maybe  .. but not blue, but drinking G7, C9, D9 is a recipe for disaster .. stick to Single Malts .. far healthier, and don't allow ANY scale in the water  :)

I knew it was a mistake to ask that at this time of night.  ;D ;D

Perhaps I'll move it to the 12 bar blues help section.  ::)

No, most popular music, especially rock and roll is played around the 12 bar blues. It's not just Woody Guthrie stuff. Anyway, thanks for the link Entwood it really does answer my question very well. Do you give lessons? :y
