Title: quick question does my oil need topping up

as i pull out the stick from the engine the end looks like this

there is oil marks at the top and bottom but nothing in between, i just need to know is it low as there is nothing showing up on the > marks, but there is at the top .

o.k. wait till car is cold.  Take dipstick out and wipe it clean of oil.  Try again.  look for oil line then.  Should be clearer

ok
