EML has lit up for a few seconds a couple of times normally at high revs low gear.
Codes stored are
19 - Incorrect RPM signal]
38 - o2 sensor 1 low voltage
Is there anything I should do. No noticeable symptoms to go with EML.

Early signs of crank sensor failure... it's probably about the right mileage for it too!
-
38 might be a knock on effect of the 19...
I'd address the 19 first.
-
How would I address the 19?
The rev counter does stick a bit but I shouldn't imagine that is connected in any way. :-/

I suspect crank sensor will need replacing mate. Not expensive and not hard to do at all.
I recall (when I owned the car) that the crank sensor was original, and I thought "bloody hell, that's had a good life".. so I suspect it's finally getting tired!
Just make sure you route a new one nowhere near the exhaust, use a couple of cable ties.
It's the hot exhaust (or in the case of original, hot oil cooler pipes) on the cable that kills them :y

As a guide, what sort of price should I be paying for a crank sensor?

As james says above CRANK sensor, 99% sure - it has a crazy effect on the engine management system when it starts to fail
Well as you will read on the forum, its not the sensor that usually fails - it's the cables that break down. Vaux ran the cable down the side of the block and hense why its a now-and-then fault, as the engine moves, the cable breaks and reconnects, giving all manor of readings to the ECU.
I think i paid about £34 direct from Vaux for mine
Search and you will find a good how to on here.
Best of luck!
ps. my Crank shaft sensor went at 68,000miles.

Mine is on 128000 miles so crank sensor has not done bad at all :D

Cranks
Sensors that I have bought from Vauxhall were about £50, like James said really easy to fit takes around half an hour to do just make sure you keep it away from the exhaust manifold, there is a How To here is a link for ya :y
