I'm not sure whether this is any help but a code 45 on the V6 is o2 sensor 1 rich exhaust.
unsure if thats the same code a 2.0 would produce. I think it is the same.
someone with more intelligence will be along soon.

If it is senser 1 rich exhaust how do i fix it will i have to fit a new senser (lambd senser)

being honest i aint got a clue - but the clever fellas/lasses on here will explain

I had this on a Corsa and it was the external temp sensor. It broke, the ECU though it was freezing so put the choke on. RAC diagnosed lamda sensor fault because it was reading rich all the time.
In the end, the sensor cost about a fiver. Unplug old - plug in new.. JD!

oright i`ll have to look it to that as i put a new temp sensor well one i got from the scrappy and its only been playing up since i got the temp guage working again

Wait for someone to confirm this but i think the 02 sensor is correct code. As listed below.

This is listed under the the 2.5 and 3.0 list of codes and as far as i know the omega has 2 lists of codes.
2 digit. As yours. 45 is 02 sensor on this list.
4 digit as mine which is obd2. NA to your car.
The sensor will be the only thing plugged into the exhaust with a wire(2) attached. May need to apply some heat to get the bugger out tho.

Should have said - this was the external temp sensor... The MID displayed temp would show garbage too...

if it is the 02 sensor will it let me down ie breakdown as its ok at the mo but sometimes the power goes then it kicks back in
-
same problem on my old estate a few years ago , intermittent power, a new sensor and a plumbers blow torch to warm the old one out sorted it out, I seem to remember having to solder the wiring.

Got a new lambda sensor today cost me £27 quid all in.any tips on how to get the old one off
-
Lots of heat I think!
