hi all,
how do you check if the hbv is working correctly?
im getting no heat through the vents and have done a heater reset.

or.....
how do you check out the heater system..er.... systematicaly

when myn ceased to work a small trail of antifreeze / water was visible from the car as it went along! check for a leak from the rear of the engine

The HBV is operated by vacuum. On top of the HBV is a thin black pipe, disconnect that at the opposite end to the HBV and suck on it and see if the heater gets hot. If it does you have a vacuum leak or the vacuum pipes aren't connected properly.
