what does it mean if the throttle position codes come up (voltage high) ?
could i get this to come up having my foot to the floor trying to start it or does it mean tps is actually fubar'd ?

My guess is that it's gone out of range.
You *maybe* could try to clean it with some electronic switch cleaner (Maplin, £3 a bottle) but it's probably a fairly well sealed unit, so replacement may be the only option

riiight... where abouts is it on the pre facelift? engine bay or on the pedal?

I think the TPS on the v6 engines is the little black box on the front right of the plenum??? Mounted on the side of the throttle body??
They have a different connect on the mini facelifts I think so you will need a replacement from an older v6...
