Title: Trouble engaging first and reverse...

Hi all,

Any ideas?  Have a manual 2.5 V6 and particularly when cold it is hard to engage first or reverse.  Have checked the gearbox fluid and topped that up today.

trouble engaging first and reverse is an indication of clutch going,had this on my old manual van was able to adjust the pedal a little and that helped. :)

Same here, I think you're going to get quite a few say the same about the manual box on the Omega.
Had previous Vauxhalls and they were let's say difficult to engage gear from cold (in winter)  No problems in the summer months though.

Change the oil and start the engine with your foot on the clutch
