Title: Back end noises!!!
Post by: MORTY on 14 November 2008, 20:08:01
I have noticed a metalic click noise when decelerating coming from the back end, its got new springs on the back. also a fluttering noise at low speed. if i apply the handbrake slightly, it stops. The rear brakes have only just been inspected though, and mechanic said they were okay.
Has any body got any ideas what these noises could be. :-X
Cheers
Morty

might be wroth double checking handbrake shoes/pads and/or linkage which adjusts tension (i think!)

sounds like sprung pin which holds the shoes inplace have come un pinned from back plate. just hope the back plate isn't rusting away as it a pain to replace
