Title: 2.0ltr CDX
Post by: marlcdx on 16 November 2008, 14:52:33
Hi Guys.

I have just been given an Omega 2.0 CDX, now the car has no rust or dents and the interior is spotless, it comes with a full service history and all bills.  The car is S reg and has done 140,000.

There are a couple of things wrong mind, the front tryes need changing due to the track rod arm being knackered, the exhaust is blowing at the front and it leaks a bit oil from the sump.  Other than that I dont think there is much else wrong with it.  I have sorn the car for the time being as I already have two other cars.  The car has stood still for almost 7 months (garaged).  When I picked it up we changed the battery and it started 1st time.

Does anyone think its worth getting the work done and is there anything else that I should look at.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Check that the oil leak is from the sump and not the cam cover gaskets.

The top of the cams look really dry and I couldnt see any oil there.  If that is the case though (trust me I am no mechanic) is that a big job.
