no its easier than that bud ! just make sure you get a length of loom with drivers seat ! elites will fit in any just needs a extra couple of wires connecting ! no need to worry when you get some gis a shout and will tell you which wires to connect ! :y

thanks markey :y :y

Easy enough to wire up the seats as long as your diagram is right ::)

cheers daz :y :y
thanks all :y :y

I have just put an elite leather interior into my cdx and found that the loom is totally different as the part of the harness that controls the memory is missing, on the donor car it disappears into the transmission tunnel and also under the scuttle towards the bonnet - apparently there are wires for the door mirrors and interior mirror. I have posted a query on another site but if anyone knows anything on how to connect the driver's seat please let me know
-
i'm not bothered about the memory bit,,,,,, as long as i can get the heated, and up,down, forward, backward elec adjustment wired up i will be happy :y
-
The heated bit works off one of the contacts on the terminal block that is already on the loom ie the one that unplugs off the old seat - likewise the airbags and pre-tensioner. I unplugged the memory brain and found the power in block and jumped power over to the connections to the motors so that I could adjust the seat to a comfortable position. That done I have a warm leather seat to sit in until someone can tell me how to connect the switches, the motors and the power together without the memory unit.

Lol....2 maybe 3 wires to connect on the sill side all of which are easily available from the original up/down wiring for the original seats.
The memory function will still work, what wont work is memory control of the rear view mirror and wing mirrors (big deal!)

Thanks Mark - do you have more details of the connections. I tried plugging in the connections to the brain under the seat and nothing worked - I cannot work out how to connect so that the seat works throgh the switches - please explain which wires I need to connect.
