Title: head of and can see water !

  hi without me going out there looking as getting cold now
  
  i have a car in which i have taken the head of to clean and skim as the gasket went ,   i have taken the hose off to drain the water but as u look at the block the holes round the piston bores have got water in .
  is there a way of getting this out ???  :y
  the oil is still in the sump at the mo to !

If you remove the water pump most of the water should drain out of the block, what is left will need to to be sucked out with a syringe and tubing if you want to completely empty the block.

kitchen roll to get it out the bores ! as said take water pump out will get most of it out ! :y

but as your water pump is cam belt driven I'd just suck/syphon it out - less hassle. Unless you're about to change your cam belt!  :y

If the head is off, I'd suggest the belt probably is too? ::)
