Hi!
Does anyone know how to fit this:

What I mean is that the metal leads, that go down to the calipers were brutally cut off. And they are like that on every single auction I come across. Is there a way of putting them back in and make the replacement part work :question
I need to replace it because brake pedal is way too soft (compared to my previous mig, and to any standards at all) I had the air removed/braking fluid replaced - didn't help. Changed brake discs/pads (EBC standard discs/red stuff pads) and brake hoses, drained the system from fluid and put the new one in - still did not help. Oh, and the fluid only takes 3-4 months to go from full to minimum level.
Perhaps you may have the continental version of the brake pump for sale? That would save me the trouble of getting it shipped from Poland ::)

Maybe speak to Mark dtm first, get a full diagnosis, make sure your on the right track, havent seen many posts on the brake servo playing up. Would almost go as far as to say its rare?

I guess it's just my luck. My first mig was a 4 cup, with most of the things malfunctioning, finally I killed it after trying to squeeze the most of the engine trying to race everyone on my way back from holidays last year >:(
The current one is mostly fine, apart from the servotronic failure, master cylinder failure and squeeking rear suspension. Oh, and the clutch is going as well. But it's still alive at least :)

Just undo the brake pipes from your 'new' servo/mastercylinder and remove the pipes from your existing servo/master cylinder at the same point. Any air that you introduce to the system should be very little and be easily bled. Carefully pushing your pads back a little should also help push any small amount of air back into the reservoir.
Oh, and the fluid only takes 3-4 months to go from full to minimum level.

You sure you don't have any leaks anywhere

there is a clue in here i think. Don't go replacing parts until you have identified what is at fault. You say you are losing brake fluid. First of all find out where it is going. there is a good chance you could change the master cylinder and still have the same problem. Could be all sorts of things: leak at the calipers (any one of the 4), check the flexi hoses and all joints as well.
Don't forget to look at the clutch: it is hydraulic so a leak in the slave cylinder could be why you are losing fluid and having clutch probs....

I'm sure that i DO have a leak. The question is where. My bet is the master cylinder seal, but the leak has to be very small, because I can't really see any fluid anywhere outside the pump. All the other bibs and bobs have been done already (brake hoses, disc, pads, was also bled twice to check for/remove air)
That's interesting you wrote, that it may be connected with the clutch. Didn't know those 2 systems are working together :)
The plan was to replace clutch before doing MC, so I'll get to check this out.

Shared reservoir! The pipe at the side of the reservoir goes to your clutch master cylinder.
