Title: Saloon High level brake light
Post by: vauxfan2k on 24 November 2008, 20:18:21
Hi guys

Looking at fitting one of these to a 1996 model omega, I realise the rear screen black band is different, but I am wondering If a Stanley blade scraper can be used to scrape off the shape I need for the brake light to show through. surely better and cheaper than a new rear screen?

I dont like the Idea of the after market ones as they can reflect off the glass at night and obsucre vision.

anyone tried this with success?

Thanks

 ;)

How about fitting it all behind the original rear screen then having an 'accident' & make a claim on your car's glass insurance?  ::) :y

lol, its a bit hard to have an accident when the car is in storage in a heated garage just now. and its the original etched glass on the car so Not worth it.  :(

It wont  scrape off I tried it  ::) To be honest fit the light it does not really affect the output anyway . I had it on my previous omega and it was ok . If you think about it any car behind you will possibly be looking slightly up at it anyway  :y
