I have seen a few posts about how to improve the very poor dip beam on pre-facelits. I have fitted 50% brighter bulbs but it is still not good, (lots of unlit lanes where I am). I have not tried polishing up the lenses yet which I have seen mentioned and will try to do that this weekend if weather is okay.
I have seen posts where they mention clear lenses for the lights though. Are these after market of Vx fitments? Also can anyone recommend after market light units, (if they exists)? I would prefer to keep with a similar look to the OEM units rather than Angel Eye type stuff though if possible.
Cheers, eil

Speaking from experience, I'd appeal for a pair of the later projector type or if you want to go the whole hog, a set of the Xenon or HID lights. There's normally someone on the Forum here that'll have a set for sale (genuine Vauxhall units from a scrapped car) and I've no doubt they'll be in touch soon with a deal! Keep you bulbs and put them in the new units.

I have a set of genuine Vauxhall clear lens projector units here...these will plug straight in place of your existing lights...

Hi,
Had same problem. Fitted clear lens headlights - no good. Fitted brighter bulbs - no good. Bought an H.I.D. conversion kit for £60 + £10 postage (J.A.M. Performance) on ebay. Plug and play, no modifications needed, easy as you like, solves the problem. Bright blue/white lights that make you actually see where you are going. :y
Fredsta (not so bright). :(

Are all 'clear lens' lights projectors or are they different beasts? Sorry if these are silly questions but this is my first Omega ;)
Do have Vectra's and Trikes though :)

all the later projectors have the same lenses in, depending if they're the standard halogen or hid they will have different eyeballs asit were in the back of the headlight (that big ball you can see) also on the bottom of the hids theres the ballast pack, the units are the same in all other aspects but the plastic in the unit (the reflector is different on hids because of how the bulbs go in) or the bulb fittings rather
