Hi all again.
Since joining this forum i'm remembering lots more things about my car. Weird.
My alarm goes off ('95 2.5 cdx) sometimes when it gets warm (the weather, that is). I'm assuming it's resistor related. Is there a variable resistor somewhere? Or am i pretending that i know something about electronics when all i have is a gcse in cooking?
Cheers,
Fredsta (covered in flour). :-* :-* :-*

Sorry no such luck, the batteries are on there way out, one of two things to do, disconnect the 'power sounder' one, buy a replacement 'power sound' two.
regards

P.S. to change the existing batteries is a real pig, ie a non-starter

If it`s only going off when the ambient temperature is warm could be expansion of the bonnet releasing the bonnet sensor switch. Located just to the left of the pas reservoir. Try disconnecting it. :y

Had the same prob myself with my previous omega. Over come the alarm prob by opening rear passenger door and pushing the lock down on the inside of drivers door. The alarm never went off again. Its just another way of overcoming it. :y

As Rob says, it tends to get leant on when working on the car, try unplugging it ;)

Thanks for that. Just tried it and the alarm hasn't switched on. Therefore, according to my immense amount of grey matter, it can't go off.
Cheers,
