Title: Omega Aftermarket Alarm

Hi there all,

im currently having problems with my standard vauxhall alarm going off for no apparent reason.

Can i get a decent alarm fitter to remove the vauxhall alarm and immobiliser without it flagging up any horrible codes? So completely remove alarm ECU, immobiliser, alarm horn etc....

I will then have an after market alarm fitted, cant be bothered to mess around with the standard alarm.

Also the key fob is getting tired so dont fancy having that reprogrammed sometime soon.

Nope.

Alarm and immobiliser are seperate systems.

The Immobiliser is integrated into the engine ECU adn immobiliser receiver/ECU.

The Alarm is integrated ino the central locking ECU.

I assume you have checked the obvious i.e. the bonnet switch?

Sorry only had this two days and been away from Vauxhalls since my last calibra...Oddly enough i reconise you off ClubCalibra.net, or atleast think i do, i use to be on there with the name of a_c

A push switch under the bonnet, over next to the power steering reservoir. They get bent over when working on the car & so don't get fully depressed when the bonnet closes. Just unplug it for the time being .... your car will then never see the bonnet as open. :y

Nb some of the later face lift cars can have the switch over on the driver's side instead.
